My my my, Maya. I finished her after a very long long time working on her. I first started work on this over a year ago, and there were so many times I moved on to begin and finish other things, always promising I would come back and finish her. She changed a ton from the initial art because of my skills developing as I took breaks from her, and its really weird to look back on initial images. I know there are a lot of things wrong - one of the reasons I never could get to completing it was because I was constantly changing and fixing anatomy, perspective and lighting issues- there are just some things which I was unable to fix, and yes I really fudged a lot of it because its time to move on.
Over all I am extremely happy with the piece, she is my main character in my fantasy setting (rp tabletop) and I began to think I would never find the stamina to pull through with this and still be satisfied with it.
Anyway, please as always, feel free to comment. I believe I probably will go back and work on this more, just as a guess. ^_~
edit - resub for some cleanup on the character mostly... the bg is still a mess, couldnt find the inspiration to mess with it months later means its prolly not going to get worked on. meh.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
